This is a delicious, healthy and refreshing smoothy that you can whip up easily in your blender or vitamix.
Isn’t the color gorgeous? Obviously, I need to bone up on my picture taking skills but you get the idea. I was kind of in a rush because I just wanted to drink it right away!
Here’s how to make it:
2 Cups Watermelon
1 teaspoon grated ginger
5 ice cubes (you can add more if you want it thicker)
Just add all the ingredients to your blender and blend it up.
Watermelon has tons of vitamins and is a powerful antioxidant and inflammatory food. It’s loaded with lycopene which has been studied for its cancer prevention properties.
Cucumbers are also loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
Ginger is one of the anti-aging herbs featured in my book (see the sidebar) and is well known for it’s stomach soothing properties, ability to aid digestion, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral properties. It can also help your skin retain elasticity and is a warming herb that can help boost metabolism.
